Usage · Dosage
This drug, as pregabalin, is administered orally, regardless of food, by dividing the total daily dose into two times a day. Since this drug is mainly excreted by the kidneys, dose adjustments should be made in patients with reduced renal function. (Refer to ‘5. Patients with renal dysfunction’)

1. Neuropathic pain

1) Peripheral neuropathic pain
Adults: A starting dose of 150 mg per day may be administered. Based on individual patient response and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 300 mg daily after 3 to 7 days. If necessary, the dose can be increased to a maximum of 600 mg per day at 7-day intervals.

2) Central neuropathic pain
Adults: A starting dose of 150 mg per day may be administered. Based on individual patient response and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 300 mg daily after 1 week. After an additional week, the dose can be increased to the target daily dose of 600 mg. Dose reduction may be considered if not tolerated at the target daily dose. (Refer to ‘4. Interruption of Administration’)

2. Epilepsy

Adults: A starting dose of 150 mg per day may be administered. Based on individual patient response and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 300 mg daily after one week. If necessary, the dose can be increased to a maximum of 600 mg per day at 7-day intervals thereafter.

3. Fibromyalgia

The recommended dose of THIS DRUG for fibromyalgia is 300 mg-450 mg per day. The starting dose is 75 mg twice daily (150 mg daily), and based on efficacy and tolerability, the dose can be increased to 150 mg twice daily (300 mg daily) within 1 week. . For patients who do not experience sufficient benefit from a dose of 300 mg/day, the dose can be increased to 225 mg twice daily (450 mg/day) within 1 week. Clinical studies have also been conducted at doses of 600 mg per day, but there is no evidence of additional benefit or sufficient tolerability at this dose. Considering dose-dependent adverse reactions, dosing in excess of 450 mg per day is not recommended.

4. Discontinuation of Administration

According to current clinical experience, when discontinuing the drug, it should be discontinued gradually, with an interval of at least 1 week.

5. Patients with renal dysfunction

After passing through the systemic circulation, this drug is excreted primarily by the kidneys in unchanged form. Since the clearance of this drug is directly affected by creatinine clearance, dose reduction in patients with renal impairment should be individualized based on creatinine clearance. Creatinine clearance [Table 1] is determined by the formula below.
